Congratulations "Insurgent Republicans" !!

It's no exaggeration to say that we have a country to save, and last night was an amazing start! A few weeks back I heard CNN describe Marco Rubio and Rick Scott as "Insurgent Republicans" five minutes after describing Taliban terrorists as "insurgent forces." That tells you what leftists think of us conservatives!

"Insurgent Republicans" Rick Scott (Florida) and Joe Miller (Alaska) highlighted a primary election night that should serve as a full-throated wakeup call for an establishment-controlled Republican Party that takes conservatives and conservative libertarians for granted.

A word of advice for the formerly comfortable Republican Establishment:

WE DO NOT EXIST FOR THE PURPOSE OF KEEPING YOU IN POSITIONS OF POWER !!!!

Your power exists for the purpose of protecting the God-given rights of the American people.

Don't let that chair get too comfortable, especially if you forget why you were elected...

I've never been prouder to be a part of the Tea Party!

Here's Hope and Change That I Can Embrace!

After draining the cesspool of Democrat corruption and filth in Washington DC, the American people will have three more tasks that are crucial to saving our country:

1. Dismantle Obama's fascist machine. Everything the Dem fascists have enacted MUST be repealed.

2. Ground the 3rd rail of national politics. Eliminate or drastically alter $ocial $ecurity. Ponzi Schemes shouldn't survive and thrive on money stolen from those under 55 years old. I'm not holding my breath here because I've RARELY seen a politician with enough political courage to take on this national Ponzi scheme.

3. Dismantle all public sector unions. They are utterly destroying the solvency of states and municipalities all across America, and they have NO RIGHT to organize against the taxpayer!

The Motor City Mad Man Strikes Again!

Ted Nugent: It Is Us

We're the ones who allowed anti-Americans to take over America

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/jul/30/it-is-us/?page=1

Barack Hussein Obama did not sneak into power. An army of clueless, disconnected, ignorant Americans invited him to bring his Marxist, glaringly anti-American jihad into our lives. This president's overtly destructive, clear-and-present-danger agenda is surpassed in transparency only by his ultra-leftist public voting record and overall lifetime conduct of consorting with the enemy as a child and student of Marxism, socialist and racist community organizer, congregant of the blatant America-hating black-theology- and social-justice-spewing Rev. Jeremiah Wright and close personal friend of convicted communist terrorists like Bill Ayers, and by his unflinching appointment of an array of communist czars, including Van Jones, Cass Sunstein, Anita Dunne, et al.

So let me get this straight: You claim your intentions were noble because you simply wanted to get your child a puppy but somehow didn't notice that it was foaming at the mouth, and now you're shocked that your child has rabies? I think not. That is not a mistake. It is negligence -- dangerous, life threatening and, I am convinced, downright criminal negligence.

And the price for such negligence is catastrophic, don't you know...

**Allow me to make a reading suggestion. "Ted, White, and Blue" is in the bookstores now. Ted Nugent has become an intellectual and patriotic force to be reckoned with.

Top Secret America, A Must Read.

I have mixed emotions on the following Washington Post article, Top Secret America. On the one hand, I'm more than happy to increase our surveillance of muslim activities inside and outside of America. After all, they're the ones perpetrating hideous acts of terrorism against our country. On the other hand, this appears to be overkill by a factor of twenty, and assets and activities on this magnitude invevitably end up being used against regular American citizens to quell political dissent.

Are you paying attention Tea Partiers? I sure do hope so...

A hidden world, growing beyond control

The top-secret world the government created in response to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, has become so large, so unwieldy and so secretive that no one knows how much money it costs, how many people it employs, how many programs exist within it or exactly how many agencies do the same work.

These are some of the findings of a two-year investigation by The Washington Post that discovered what amounts to an alternative geography of the United States, a Top Secret America hidden from public view and lacking in thorough oversight. After nine years of unprecedented spending and growth, the result is that the system put in place to keep the United States safe is so massive that its effectiveness is impossible to determine.

The investigation's other findings include:

* Some 1,271 government organizations and 1,931 private companies work on programs related to counterterrorism, homeland security and intelligence in about 10,000 locations across the United States.

* An estimated 854,000 people, nearly 1.5 times as many people as live in Washington, D.C., hold top-secret security clearances...

The Supreme Court Upholds the 2nd Amendment!

From the POLITICO:

"In a 5-4 decision Monday, the Supreme Court declared for the first time that the Second Amendment right to bear arms extends to states and local governments. The ruling opens the door to challenges to gun control laws and ordinances across the country."

It's literally stunning that it was a 5-4 decision rather than a 9-0 decision. Make no mistake, this was a vote on the 2nd Amendment, and 4 of the Supreme Court Justices chose to vote their PREFERENCE in favor of gun control, rather than vote according to the clear wording of the 2nd Amendment. To wit:

"...the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

What part of that wording DON'T the 4 leftist Supremes understand? You see, it truly doesn't (or shouldn't) matter whether Justice Stevens or Ginsberg like or even dislike the 2nd Amendment at all. It shouldn't matter one bit if they believe in full-scale gun confiscation.
Their job is to apply the Constitution to these matters, NOT WRITE NEW LAW!!!!

That's what the legislature is for. Activist judges are clear and present danger to our constitution and our law-based society. In case you're wondering, this sort of behavior is at the very heart of conservative's objections to left-wing jurists.

Here's an interesting take from the Heritage Foundation:

It's Time to REPEAL the 17th Amendment.

It's time to REPEAL the 17th amendment!

Senators should be selected by their respective state legislatures. That was the intent of the Founders in Article 1, Section 3, Clause 1 :

"The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, chosen by the Legislature thereof, for six Years; and each Senator shall have one Vote."

This insured that each state would have actual and adequate representation in the Senate. Representatives take care of the interests of their districts, while the STATES have less official representation than foreign countries who have lobbyists bending the ears of Senators at all hours. Making these Senators directly accountable to the State legislatures is an idea whose time has come...again!

The 17th Amendment will have to be repealed. That's a heavy lift, and sadly would probably be fought along partisan lines. Radical special interest groups with deeeeep pockets, like MoveOn.org, George Soros, A.C.O.R.N. and others seem to have more pull with some our Senators than we voters do. During the health care takeover debates I called the office of my Senator, Bill Nelson, to register my disapproval of ObamaCare. A very nice and courteous young man took my call. I asked him how the callers were reacting on this subject. He told me that I was one of his "younger" callers, and that most of the people who called him felt the same way I did. They were AGAINST "health care reform." His words.

Bill Nelson voted FOR this wretched bill!
Now I ask you, who had more representation when Senator Nelson voted for this bill? The deep-pocketed left-wing NUT ROOTS, or the retirees in the state of Florida who will have their Medicare SLASHED by over $500 Billion to pay for this legislation?

More than any other state, Florida is a retirement state. A travesty like Bill Nelson's ObamaCare vote (aye!) would NEVER have occured if Senator Nelson was actually representing the best interests of the people of the Sunshine State.

ObamaCare cuts half a trillion from Medicare! Just who did Bill Nelson represent with his affirmative vote?

Take a hard look at your own Senators and ask yourself who they are REALLY working for?

It's time to repeal the 17th Amendment. It's time to reign in Washington DC by making our Senators more accountable to their own states.

Dorothy Rabinowitz NAILS President Obama!

This is a point I've made numerous times, though far less eloquently. I can't help the feeling that our White House AND Congress have been "hijacked" by some foreign force, something that doesn't quite belong in America.

The Alien in the White House
The distance between the president and the people is beginning to be revealed.

By DOROTHY RABINOWITZ
The deepening notes of disenchantment with Barack Obama now issuing from commentators across the political spectrum were predictable. So, too, were the charges from some of the president's earliest enthusiasts about his failure to reflect a powerful sense of urgency about the oil spill.

There should have been nothing puzzling about his response to anyone who has paid even modest critical attention to Mr. Obama's pronouncements. For it was clear from the first that this president—single-minded, ever-visible, confident in his program for a reformed America saved from darkness by his arrival—was wanting in certain qualities citizens have until now taken for granted in their presidents. Namely, a tone and presence that said: This is the Americans' leader, a man of them, for them, the nation's voice and champion. Mr. Obama wasn't lacking in concern about the oil spill. What he lacked was that voice—and for good reason.

Those qualities to be expected in a president were never about rhetoric; Mr. Obama had proved himself a dab hand at that on the campaign trail. They were a matter of identification with the nation and to all that binds its people together in pride and allegiance. These are feelings held deep in American hearts, unvoiced mostly, but unmistakably there and not only on the Fourth of July...
