An Open Letter from a Capitalist To the Kleptocrats

from the Capitalist who posts on the POLITICO message boards:

The “Silent Majority” has spoken. Your views and ideology have been rebuked. The sooner you accept this fact, the sooner we can all work together and straighten out this country.

We’ve had enough of your “Hope and Change”.
We don’t want leaders who promise transparency, yet fail to deliver it.
We don’t want the government to own auto manufacturers.
We don’t want the government to own banks.
We don’t want Obamacare.
We don’t want a government that FORCES us to buy health insurance.
We don’t want cap-and-trade.
We are tired of being raped by the UN.
We are not convinced that global warming exists.
We don’t want our children and grandchildren taxed into oblivion.
We don’t want the government telling us which light bulbs to use.
We don’t want Guantanamo closed.
We don’t want international terrorists tried in our federal courts.
We don’t want leaders who are weak on national security.
We don’t want leaders who make us look weak and apologetic on the international stage.
We don’t want 1o% unemployment.
We don’t want leaders who think capitalism is our enemy.
We don’t want leaders who do not support small business.
We don’t want leaders who promise to reduce pork-filled bills, then sign pork-laden bills.
We don’t want leaders who promise “no lobbyists”, then fill their administration with them.
We don’t want “special deals” for unions. 87% of U.S. workers don’t belong to unions.
We don’t want to be called racists, tea baggers, wing-nuts, etc. simply because we disagree with your views.

And finally…..we’re tired of hearing that “it’s Bush’s fault”.

  1. Well stated...

In as much as you live in N.E. Florida and we need someone to kick Bill Nelson out, have you thought about running for his senatorial seat? Your views make you perfect for the job...

  2. Born Again, that's so nice of you to say. Believe me when I tell you that if I ran, skeletons would LEAP out of closets everywhere, and I have a wife and family. It's part of my past for sure, but you get my drift. Thanks again.

  3. Hi Jingo..you know how Obama and the WH thugs are still blaming Bush for everything?
last night on msnbc, Howard Dean says "And anybody who blames other people is a LOSER" (he was referring to something about the campaign, but this about did me in laughing!)
    Good list here!

  4. He's a classlesss ghetto commie for sure Z! Part of what drove us conservatives crazy when Bush was President was the fact that he REFUSED to stick up for himself and lay blame where it belonged. Now we have the OPPOSITE problem.

  5. I even stayed up and watched the victory speech, as well as MC's concession speech.

I hope and pray the leaders of our country will take to heart the wishes of the people. There may be hope yet! Now let's see come change!

  6. Excellent list, Jingo. We're tired of democratically elected representatives behaving like dictators. We don't want representatives who don't take heed of their constituents demands. And RINO's need to get this message, too.

We will not be dictated to by elitist, out-of-touch, corrupt demogogues. They will be held to account and we will take back the power we loaned them.

  7. Linda, last night was "change WE can believe in!" BTW I think Scott's reference to his daughter's "availabilty" was a vieled swipe at the fat swimmer, Teddy Kennedy.

FairWitness I really liked this sentiment:

"We will not be dictated to by elitist, out-of-touch, corrupt demogogues. They will be held to account and we will take back the power we loaned them."

    Fantastic!

  8. The day Obama leaves office can't come to soon for me, but lets not forget how the last GOP majority behaved in the legislature. The should be many scared GOP reps as there are scared DEM reps.

Getting liberal and/or idiotic reps out of office is step 1, step 2 is put in some folks that will act based on conservative principles.

This is the first time I have been to your blog, you may have made this point before.

    Enjoyed reading your post.

  9. Bard thanks for stopping by! Yes, many others have made that same point because it's a GOOD idea. :-) Repealing the 17th Amendment is an idea whose time has come and would lead to more responsible government.
